REVIEW:

After reading other books by RM Schultz I expected great things with this new series of books to try and it did not disappoint. The author is amazing at building interesting characters and worlds mixed with great storytelling that keeps you turning the pages.

Throughout the book we read from the point of view of many characters, some protagonists and some antagonists and having these different perspectives throughout the growing story adds a nice twist to the storytelling. The antagonists are shown as human and they may not necessarily be fully bad.

A great read for fans of fantasy novels and if you have read previous works by the author you will not want to miss this one.

REVIEW:

What an amazing opening book to a new fantasy series that I know will become another firm favourite for me. Throughout the first book, the character development is so on point that I felt I knew each of the main characters very well and even some of the side characters. Throughout the story there is great world-building with a few twists along the way and a good few reveals before the end that leads into the series as a whole and definitely makes you want to have the next book right now.

I would say this book and potentially the series will suit fans of Harry Potter and The Hunger Games and although the book has a similar feel to this style it stands out on its own strengths.

I look forward to seeing how Kiera develops as a character as well as her magical abilities. Also, I look forward to seeing where the bond with her new friends goes as there was some interesting progression throughout.

REVIEW:

Another addition to a series of books I just cannot put down once I start reading. When reading the last two books of the series I felt each had a solid end and the story felt whole and yet I always want more to the story because the characters are so endearing. Each novel brings so much more to the overall story as well as continued character development even in the protagonists.

The author has created characters that could continue on for many adventures and I’m finding it difficult to accept that I am almost at the end of a series that surely could have more books yet.
