The Second Life of Jonathan Sendel by Jeffrey Ashkin

Worldwide Tour 1st – 18th July

Genre: Thriller / Mystery

Publisher: Ink Smith Publishing

BACK OF THE BOOK:

Best-selling author, Jonathan Sendel has been murdered. Now, his clone must solve the mystery.

In the near future when someone is murdered, a clone of the victim can be commissioned to help police solve the crime. This process is costly, tedious and not always successful. Memory lapses, mental implosions, and rouge clones are not uncommon. It’s risky, but Jonathan has the money, the fans, and the means, and so his clone must navigate a treacherous labyrinth of secrets to reclaim the life stolen from him and put his murderer behind bars.

Before his untimely death, Jonathan was stuck in a rut. His marriage was failing, writer’s block had his Jim Starlight series at a deadend, and his affair with a college student was about to go public. When his charred remains are found inside his remote cabin it’s clear that the murderer is someone in his inner circle.

His clone only has a matter of days to unravel the mystery before he loses the vast fortune he spent his entire life, the first one, building. As he uncovers his previous life’s transgressions, the people he trusted most may have some unsavory opinions about clones. Jonathan must take his investigation into his own hands to have a chance at life.

The Second Life of Jonathan Sendel is a twist-filled murder mystery, that examines the life of a beloved celebrity tarnished by scandal and the painful process of coming to terms with one’s own demons.

REVIEW:

From the very beginning of this novel, you are taken on a very intriguing journey with many twists and turns. I really enjoyed this thriller and it has an ending that I didn’t expect and yet kicked myself for not even considering it as a potential outcome to the story.

the premise of the story is that Jonathan Sendel’s clone wakes up at Memory Bank following the murder of the original Jonathan. His job, before he is given back his freedom to live like a human, is to solve his own murder. As the story unfolds nothing is as it seems leading to a very clever ending.

The author does a good job at not only creating an excellent thriller but also throwing in thought-provoking debates around, should cloning happen, are clones human or not. The novel touches on cultural divides and terrorism against the clones who are seen as wrong in the eyes of many.

A very thought-provoking, exciting, and intriguing thriller that I enjoyed from page one.

REVIEW:

The Realm Of Gods is a perfect ending to a great series however this reader is very hopeful the author will add to the series in the future. Like with the previous books I found the story to be interesting and captivating and just an absolutely fun, thought-provoking read. I love the characters and was so pleased to see Eve play a lead in this one and her growth was brilliant in this story.

My favourite character throughout the series has been Dantess and in this book, he goes through everything the author has thrown at him to complete his journey and development and it has cemented the character’s place as my fav for all time.

All fantasy readers should read this series and I’m sure like me they will just want more.

Joey’s Hot Greek Summer by Kris Kassady: A Virtual Tour Review with Love Books Tours @LoveBooksTours @KellyALacey @KrisKassady_Author #Ad #LBTCrew #Bookstagram #FreeReview #FreeBookReview

Joey’s Hot Greek Summer by Kris Kassady

Worldwide Tour 1st – 10th July

Genre: Steamy romance

Pages:  410

BACK OF THE BOOK:

Joey Wilson from Philadelphia may look like an ordinary guy. But when his swimsuit hits the sand on a nude Greek beach, jaws drop, eyes pop, and Joey becomes a very busy man.

In Book 3 of the Joey Series, Joey encounters five more extraordinary women, each bringing a unique flavor to his steamy summer holiday.

Desdemona, a seamstress from Bogota, Columbia is just out of a rough patch that cost her two good years, and she’s ready to party hearty on a nude Greek beach. OMG, who’s that overendowed guy coming right at her?

Freya is a travel nurse from Reykjavik, Iceland. Her last assignment was in Barrow, Alaska and her next assignment is in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. But, right now, she’s hanging on a nude beach in Greece. Her side gig is writing erotica, and Joey looks like a future story.

Marita is a Basque chef from Pamplona, Spain. She loves nude beaches and goes there for a very specific purpose. She likes both her food and her men hot and spicy.

Amina is a rug merchant from Kabul, Afghanistan who has just completed a one month buying trip through the Middle East and is rewarding herself with a few days at the beach when Joey walks up and introduces himself.

Bella is an Aboriginal Australian from Perth, Australia. A professional entertainer who sings, dances, and juggles, she’s busking herself around the world and is considering doing a show on the nude beach. Hmm, she could sure use an assistant.

Joey’s Hot Greek Summer is Book 3 in the Joey Series and was designed to be read in sequence. But it’s also a great standalone read and, what the heck, you can always go back and read Books 1 and 2 later.

If you like your erotic romance hot, hilarious, heart-warming, and satisfying, you’ll love Joey’s Hot Greek Summer. Written in five chapters, each chapter is a sizzling-but-cozy one sitting read on your favorite couch.

Dive into the heat, and let Joey whisk you away on a journey of desire that will linger long after the sun has set on Plaka Beach.

REVIEW:

Joey’s Hot Greek Summer is the third book in the series that follows Joey during his two-week vacation he takes every year to Greece specifically to visit the nudist beach and meet new interesting and sexy women.

This book follows the same format as the previous two where Joey arrives on the island and over the course of the two weeks he meets five women who he develops friendships with and of course becomes more intimate with.

Although the books ideally should be read in order, the way they are written means the reader can pick up almost anywhere and still enjoy the book. Kris Kassady has a writing formula that works well in her works and lovers of Romance (although not technically typical romance books) and a little bit of heat, should read these books.

Genre: Epic Fantasy

BACK OF THE BOOK:

Kingdoms burn. Heroes soar.

At the decimated outpost of Nevergrace, Cyran Orendain and his companions stand watch. They search for the Dragon Queen’s remains while awaiting the full onslaught of Murgare’s retaliation. But some of their own turn against them, and a village is ravaged by whatever lurks in the woods.

With the young lady of the Never by her side, Cyran’s sister Jaslin arrives at the king’s city of Galvenstone to answer a summons. She will find the answers to the queen’s murder and the darkness lurking beneath the streets, no matter what—or who—stands in her way.

Meanwhile, Pravon the dragon thief follows the unpredictable dragon assassin across the lands of Cimeren, hunting down emissaries who seek to bring peace to the kingdoms. For only one path can stop the coming war, and they will ensure this path is never found.

Only those at Nevergrace sense the coming dangers—that which stalks the far side of the Lake on Fire and that which prowls within the forest.

The growing shadows will consume all of the kingdoms and cover the lands in blood and dragon fire.

REVIEW:

After finishing book one of this series I was ready to dive straight into book two, needing to know what was next for Cyran. I thoroughly enjoy the character development RM Schults brings to his stories along with the ever expanding world and side characters. With these books you get the perfect combination of an amazing story but with characters that you want to see continue to grow and you can’t help but want to keep going.

RM Schultz has been a favourite fantasy author for me for some time now and with each new book I’m just want to keep reading more.
